The American Southwest is home to some of the most spectacular Rock Art in the world. Archaeologist Candace Lewis will present examples of rock art from Petroglyph National Monument and San Cristobal Pueblo, among others. Theories explaining these images range from markers of territorial boundaries to sites of initiation and fertilization rituals. Join us as we travel from Albuquerque to Sant Fe, sightseeing and speculating on the iconography of the Rio Grande.
Seating is limited, please RSVP.
