Explore the site of the Long Trail Lodge, the original clubhouse of the Green Mountain Club on the Long Trail at Sherburne Pass, with a member of the family who owned it for many years. Built in 1923, the Lodge became a rustic hotel around 1930 and was destroyed by fire in 1968. We will locate the foundations of the main building and encounter the ruins of several guest cabins on our way to the Adirondack lookout on the Nature Trail. Moderate difficulty with considerable bushwacking. No charge. Rain or Shine.
